I feel like I might be in the crosshairs of the Bush administration. Why? Because it seems any “blogger� with an anti-bush administration platform may be up for special targeting by White House anti-bloggers.

According to some internet rumours, the White House has just announced a policy of identifying bloggers with opposing views and then putting up counter-bloggers to combat their statements. Bloggers must be a growing threat to the party line if action like this is needed.

Any online bingo player who has followed this blog for any amount of time will know that I hold no love for current US policy on the issue of online gambling. I like to play free online bingo and exercise the right to choose which online bingo hall I play in. But the recent introduction of the anti-foreign competition UIGEA law in the US has been one of the biggest blows to what was a healthy and responsible industry.

The UIGEA law and its subsequent crackdown on foreign operators makes customers like me feel like a criminal. Worse if I chose to be an actual online bingo operator.

I’m not going to go into the details as to why I feel this way, but hearing that the Bush administration may be trying to anti-blog people like me gives me a warm feeling of achievement. I know that I don’t rate in the same league as your average Al-Qiada blogger, but there must be something to fear in the power of blogs to prompt the US president and his team to take action like this.

Now all we can hope is that they occasionally choose to listen to rather than oppose some of the more constructive blogs out there – especially where online bingo is concerned.
