An important part of your online bingo community is going to be your online bingo profile. This lets people know who you are, but it can also keep some information private. The main part of the bingo profile is what the community sees. In other words have you submitted a picture online to reflect yourself? Have you picked out an online ID that will relate to who you are, and how much are you willing to share in your profile as well as in the chat rooms?
Once you have found the perfect site for you to play bingo online you need to work on your profile. The registration process will ask for personal information, but the only thing shared from this sector will be your log in ID. Therefore the first thing you need to come up with is the ID you want others to call you. It should be something that reflects your personality. You can use your imagination to come up with something that you will want to keep for as long as you play bingo online. Once it is registered at this site you can’t change it.
After the registration process and your ID is chosen you are able to add to the bingo profile you will allow others to see. This next stage would include a picture. You don’t have to place your own picture online. In fact many of the players have an online photo to go with their ID. These photos are created using avatar properties on most sites. You can also upload an avatar you have created elsewhere as your picture. Again your imagination will be the limit for your photo. Some photos are of favourite animals to go with ID’s so this is just one example of what you can offer.
When creating your online bingo profile you want to keep something’s safe. You wouldn’t want to divulge your personal information, such as where you live or your phone number. Most profiles will not allow you to post this information anyway, but you could wind up placing it in the chat room if you are not careful. For example a friend might ask for your information, someone you know and trust from regular life, but if you are in a chat room you shouldn’t offer this information, even private chat rooms.
When you play bingo online it’s always going to be fun, but it’s always a good idea to err on the safe and anonymous side when it comes to sharing information about yourself in your online bingo profile.

Bingo buddies, Ladies and Gentlemen, I am once again knocked out by the crew of Wink Bingo. As a genuine online bingo connoisseur (some might say bingo fanatic) I am constantly surprised by Wink Bingo and the never-ending flow of bingo suprises they pull out of their bingo hat.
Latest is the £1K jackpot game this Halloween Friday – 9.30pm for those of you who aren’t reading our bingo promotions - you naughty bingo bunnies! (And this is just a small part of the Wink Bingo Halloween celebrations). Ok, ok, so far so good. Wink Bingo actually do regular online bingo jackpots up to £5 Million so you might say no biggie to a mere £1k game of bingo online. Read on my trusty friends…
Not only is the £1,000 a Guaranteed Jackpot, but the bingo tickets cost just 5p each. There is no minimum and no maximum amount of bingo tickets you can buy. Fair enough, sounds like a good game, but what’s so special about it? Keep reading for the Wink Bingo punch line…
It’s a fact that one lucky bingo player on Friday night will win a grand at Wink Bingo. But what will happen to all the other players who lose? THEY ALL GET REFUNDS ON ALL THEIR BINGO TICKETS BOUGHT FOR THE GAME!!!
LOL I just love it, no losers only winners at Wink Bingo, and what a cool twist – wonder how long it’ll take for the other online bingo sites to catch on?

Are you new to the world of online bingo? If you are feeling a bit lost then don’t worry, there are many online bingo guide sites to help you. The very first thing you need to decide is where to play bingo online, and we would recommend starting your online bingo action with a safe, trusted and established bingo website such as Wink Bingo – perfect for newbies to bingo, a really friendly and helpful bingo community with lovely Chat Hosts and many other bingo players ready to help if you get stuck, plus a cool £15 Free no deposit bonus you can use to try out all the bingo games first at no cost to yourself.
The biggest and best thing about bingo online is that it’s a very social game – but there’s absolutely no pressure on you to be social if you’re not in the mood, or are a bit intimidated by all the goofy gossip in the bingo online chat rooms. It’s always your choice to join in or not. You can just login and play bingo online without using the chat feature – but you can still watch other people chatting, which is a great way to learn the bingo lingo and the many shortcuts that bingo buddies use to communicate. However you’d be missing out on a lot of fun, not to mention the great bingo chat games, and the chance to make new friends playing bingo online.
So, you’ve chosen a good site to play at, you’ve been reading the chats of other bingo players, and you’ve played your £15 Free – you might even have hit a bingo jackpot in which case you’ll find other players congratulating you – it’s always nice to say thanks, and you’ll find that bingo players are always cheering each other on, so it’s a great way to plunge into the chat feature and start making new bingo buddies.
The next thing you’ll want to do is fund your bingo account – Wink Bingo offer a wide variety of payment options, so you should have no problem choosing the method that suits you best. Simply fund your online bingo account and then you’re ready to purchase bingo cards – you can always choose from a selection, so you can pick lucky numbers, or just go with the flow. The more bingo cards you buy for a bingo game the better your chances of winning, but this also depends on the number of people in the bingo game. At Wink Bingo you can buy bingo cards for as little as 5p, which means you can play online bingo to your heart’s delight without spending a ton of cash.
Traditional British bingo is played with 90 balls, and these tickets are sold in strips. But if you buy bingo tickets for a 75 ball game you can buy single bingo tickets. Both games are played differently, there’s 3 chances to win in 90 ball bingo and generally just one chance in 75 ball bingo. The more you play the more you’ll find out which type of bingo game suits you best. At any time if you don’t understand the rules just ask for help, the guys at Wink Bingo offer superb online help, and also Chat Room help – all you have to do is ask, and enjoy the bingo fun!

Online Bingo is one of the products of modern technology, that allows us to play bingo online from almost any location, with a variety of different methods. However some are concerned that technology takes away some of the ‘spirit’ of bingo. So we’re going to examine some of the advantages of online bingo over traditional bingo halls.
Online bingo websites offer several types of bingo games, and usually an additional collection of side games, including instant win games such as scratchcards, slot games with progressive jackpots, plus virtual casino games too. You get most of this in a bingo hall too, but you have to use your legs to get from A to B (so not good for couch potatoes). Traditional casinos offer many casino games including slot machines, but bingo is rarely to be found at these clubs.
One of the biggest advantages of playing bingo online is that with a mere click of the mouse you can choose from several bingo rooms in which to play either 75 or 90 ball bingo. Many sites also offer 80 ball bingo and speed bingo, offering a different slant on the game and increasing player choice.
Every online bingo room features a different jackpot, and some rooms offer progressive jackpots at certain times of the day. You can actually play bingo online at a faster rate than you would for the same time in a traditional bingo hall, due to the bigger selection of games and also the faster speed, with new bingo games starting every few minutes. Online bingo websites are also able to quickly update their bingo and slot games, so you’ll find a much wider variety of the latest games appearing online much faster than they would in a regular bingo hall.
For those people who say the bingo community has suffered as a result of the online bingo fad, I just say Tosh! I’m constantly amazed at the huge amount of friendly bingo buddies I have online who I love to chat with and have a good old goss - ok so you get the odd rude fella (or gal) but they get kicked off pretty quick – another advantage!
The sheer convenience offered by bingo online as opposed to bingo halls cannot be faulted. Nowadays you can play from home, from work, on your laptop while you watch the TV or even score a full house bingo on your mobile phone while on the move. Technology has given the game of bingo a brand new life, and brought with it a brand new fanbase of bingo fans, young and old, that appreciate the easy access, cash bonuses and incentives, and ever innovative bingo promotions with some absolutely wild prizes and jackpots.

Paddy Power Bingo are having a month-long party with their Octoberfest celebrations in honour of their Gold Bingo room turning 2 earlier this month. This Irish online bingo website is worth it’s weight in gold, and bingo fans are truly spoilt for choice this month with extra bingo promotions and a whole load of free bingo games to choose from!
Free Bingo Games are always a plus for any bingo buddy, as they brings an extra thrill of winning something for nothing. Those of us who are tuned into online bingo and love the game for it’s sheer unpredictability and the great social scene, never say no to a game of free bingo - that would be silly!
There is a special breed of bingo player that refuses to play free bingo games - and I’m definitely not one of those. Show me a free bingo game and I’m on it! I look upon free bingo games as a reward for the time and money I spend at these bingo sites, and I appreciate them. If you find an online bingo website that doesn’t do free bingo games, at least sometimes, their bingo roomies won’t be so happy.

There’s a brand new online bingo site just launched last week in Finland, and the locals are going crazy for it and just can’t get enough!
I’m not exactly a linguistic expert, let alone in English, but I wonder how you say ‘Bingo’ in Finnish? It’s probably one of those words that’s impossible to translate. And where did the word Bingo come from anyway?
Some say that the term Bingo is related to the game of Keno, dating back to as early as 1814 in USA, which comes from the Latin word ‘quini’ - meaning five (winning numbers) as in a Lotto game.
Others say that Bingo started off as a Lotto-like game that can be traced back to the mid-16th century in Italy, and slowly spread across Europe arriving in the USA in 1929 where it was promptly called Beano - due to the fact that it was played with beans instead of bingo balls!
I think I’d enjoy a game of Beano, it does have a certain ring to it, but if you compare the phrase Online Beano to Online Bingo, for me the latter comes out tops.

Wink Bingo are holding their cool £3K guaranteed jackpot bingo game on Monday night at 10pm sharp. This game kicks off every month on the 20th, and although not as huge as the £10K guaranteed bingo jackpot on the 10th of each month, I definitely would not complain if I won £3,000 for playing my favourite online bingo games at Wink Bingo!
Three grand is a fair whack of dosh, and I’m quite sure I could even spend it in less than a day. It’s an amount that’s not too overwhelming, and if I do win the £3K jackpot at Wink Bingo this month I know how I’m going to spend it.
I’d pre-purchase my tickets for the whole month of big jackpot games at Wink Bingo, even if I only buy 5 bingo cards for each online bingo game that’s just a fiver - and the chances of winning the bingo jackpot are always there…
I’m sure that all bingo online players dream of hitting the big one, it is after all the underlying reason why we play bingo online - to win a huge pot of cash! But there’s definitely more to online bingo than the big winnings, I’m equally thrilled to win a small bingo game jackpot, even a 1 line win on bingo sends me spinning with delight!
That being said, if I do win the 3K jackpot on Monday night at Wink Bingo, I might just disappear for a few days, as I’ll probably be recovering from a huge bingo booze hangover!

Gala Bingo started way back in time, providing bingo halls in small towns all over the UK for bingo fans to get together and play for comparatively small prizes. Nowadays the wins are much bigger, even networked games across the British nation, and they also have an online bingo website in keeping with the bingo online craze that’s swept across the UK the last few years.
Last week saw a huge bingo jackpot payout in a Gala Bingo hall in Scunthorpe to practically the whole town, confirming that sometimes nothing in the world can beat a good old fashioned game of bingo down the local hall.
Not only did a lucky lady scoop the bingo jackpot with almost £195k, but the remaining national prize pool for the networked game of £194k was shared out among the other 73 bingo players in the hall that night - about £2500 each!
Gala Bingo literally just paid out a whole town of bingo players! What a sight for sore eyes that must have been. I’m trying to imagine what it must have felt like, such an overload of happiness and joy on so many people at one time, words fail me. All I can think of is hot cupcakes!
At times like this, traditional bingo in good old bingo halls absolutely rocks the socks off online bingo - with knobs on!

Wink Bingo fulfils so many of my expectations when it comes to online bingo, I don’t know where to start. I’ve played at countless bingo sites in my time, so have a fair idea of what’s good and what’s not when it comes to playing bingo online.
I have a special list, unceremoniously called the Keep ‘em and Play ‘em list, on which Wink Bingo takes top place. There’s only a few bingo sites on this list, more about these another time. But the criteria must always be fulfilled or they’re unceremoniously booted off my top bingo list.
I’ve got no patience for online bingo websites that promise and don’t fulfil. Bingo has to be fun, and sites that spoil this for me never get on my best bingo list. I’m talking bingo basics here, like waiting days for an answer from the bingo support team, or waiting weeks for your bingo winnings to be cashed out - especially if you hit a biggie.
Wink Bingo more than fulfils the criteria on the bingo basics, and much more beyond - top games, top bingo jackpots and a fabulous community of totally mad bingo crazy fans. This buzzing community at Wink Bingo is something I really look forward to and enjoy, it adds an extra level of fun to my online bingo antics that I just can’t do without. My thanks to the folks at Wink Bingo for being top of my list!
