You’ve got to hand it to the people at Foxy Bingo for fronting up to a major blunder in prize money allocation and deciding not to fight a £50,000 payout.  There are some online bingo operators out there that would have fought making such a payout tooth and nail – so congratulations to Foxy on not making this an issue.

According to a WhichBingo.co.uk report, one of Foxy’s  bingo online games was designed to run as a coverall jackpot, but then somehow found itself on the online bingo hall’s site masquerading as a lucrative guaranteed jackpot.  The result was very lucky online bingo player getting the win in 60 calls and a corresponding £50,000 prize.

FoxyBingo has honored the prize without a quibble despite the game really being worth only £500 as a coverall.  In my opinion, had Foxy decided to fight this and argue that a mistake had been made it would have been very bad for business – not just for Foxy Bingo, but for the industry as a whole.  Players will appreciate Foxy’s gesture in paying out the money and online bingo is better off because of it.
