News of interest to online bingo players from the world of the lotteries comes in the form of a Scottish woman who has won the UK’s largest ever lottery win. Angela Kelly did not realise she had won the £35.4 million jackpot until Monday.

Most online bingo types tend to know pretty much instantaneously whether they have won or not, but the response on realisation of her win was fairly similar to your average bingo player’s feelings on the subject, albeit on a far larger scale.

“Flabbergasted!”  It seems the poor woman couldn’t speak after she finally realised she possessed the winning ticket. This is surely how I will react when I finally win a similar amount of money.

Friday’s EuroMillions jackpot was more than £17 million higher than the previous British EuroMillions record.

The previous biggest UK EuroMillions jackpot was won in April 2004 by Marion Richardson who pocketed £16,752,144. But the biggest EuroMillions jackpot is still £77 million won by Dolores McNamara in Ireland in 2005.

Online bingo’s biggest prize was recently won by Pauline Clark, a 62 year old pensioner and grandmother from Bristol in England who made bingo history when she won £1 million in Gala Bingo’s online KerChingo game.
