Online Bingo

It could be D-Day for a few countries in the European Union who are still resisting opening up their online gambling markets to foreign operators in favour of protecting state-run monopolies.

The European Commission decides today if it will be taking court action against those member states who refuse to allow online gaming companies the chance to ply their trade on a level playing field.  This is of great importance to online bingo players and operators of online bingo games alike and will be watched closely by the online bingo industry as a whole.

Of course, the online gambling industry is set to make these governments untold millions in revenues, so it would be naive to believe they will give up their state-monopolies without a fight.  However, the important thing is that the European Commission is showing its teeth in this vital issue regards the online gambling industry and, hopefully, free online bingo players will benefit.
