Pop misfit Pete Doherty can thank his lucky stars that police incompetence has meant he is off the hook regards his latest run-in with the law. With this kind of luck, the Babyshambles singer could take up online bingo and solve all his current financial problems. Doherty recently arrived in court following his arrest last Monday. However, he walked free when charges had to be dropped due to police not producing him before the court within the legal deadline of 24 hours. A police spokesman has said the force is: "reviewing processes to establish why Mr Doherty was unable to be brought before the court within the 24-hour timeframe". Attention then focused on Doherty’s exit from the court in which free online bingo players will have recognised him wearing his trademark black trilby (the poser!). In time-honoured rock ‘n’ roll fashion , Doherty gesticulated rebelliously at waiting photographers before being whisked away in a green Jaguar (the car, not the feline species). The alleged bail breach allegation comes after Doherty was told by a judge he must kick his drugs habit or go to jail. The judge made no reference to any bingo online habits Doherty may be afflicted with, so bingo playing offences will not contribute to any future bail breaches he may be charged with, much to the relief of the UK’s online bingo community.
