Millennium singer Robbie Williams will have less to spend on playing online bingo next year thanks to having to resolve a dispute with former Take That manager Nigel Martin Smith over allegations Williams made against Smith in the lyrics of a song.
Williams will pay undisclosed damages after he had alleged Smith had stolen money from Take That. It’s been speculated that payout for Smith may be as much as £500,000 – Bingo! For Smith.
Smith is reported as saying: "Robbie has agreed to make a public apology and will pay damages. That will be the end of the matter."
The song in question is entitled The 90’s and Williams had to re-record the song as a result of a lawsuit brought against it by Smith. It’s not known if Smith has any plans to spend the damages he will be receiving on online bingo games.
