Gambling Act 2005 Leaflet for Bingo Operators - Online Bingo News

August 20, 2007

The UK government’s Department of Culture, Media and Sport has released a leaflet in PDF format detailing information for bingo operators about the new licences they will need under the Gambling Act 2005 to continue to operate after 1 September 2007.

For those operating online bingo halls or thinking about getting involved in the online bingo industry, it would be a good idea to visit the depratment’s site and download the leaflet for reference. You can access the link to the leaflet here.

According to the department the “leaflet is aimed at those operating bingo halls whose main activity is providing facilities for bingo and who will need an operating, premises and possibly personal licences under the Gambling Act 05. It is not for those providing small scale bingo in places such as pubs and clubs whose turnover from bingo is under £2000 per week.”
