Study show student interest in online gambling waning - Online Bingo News

A study by the University of Pennsylvania indicates that college student interest in online gambling may be waning reflecting the impact in the US of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA).
The study by the University’s Annenberg Public Policy Centre has somewhat dampened criticism of the online gambling sector by those who claimed games like online poker and online bingo posed a threat to students who may be vulnerable to gambling addiction.
The effect of UIGEA, which disrupts financial transactions between US online bingo players and online bingo halls, is a contributing factor in the downward trend detected by the study.
The study shows a reduction in interest in online gambling by students of just below 2%.
