The media speculation that online gaming heavyweight PartyGaming had come to a settlement with the US government over its pre-UIGIA US market activities has been classed as premature by an industry analyst. Reports last week that the online bingo games operator may be near to finalizing an agreement to avoid prosecution by the US government have been scotched by Numis Securities’ Richard Carter who says any deal is still months off. However, a deal is apparently still on the cards and would see PartyGaming avoid prosecution for doing business in the US online gaming market prior to the implementation of UIGEA in late 2006. PartyGaming runs online bingo hall PartyBingo and is a major part of the UK online bingo scene. Many people involved in bingo online are watching the PartyGaming saga for indications on where US policy may be heading regards the US market. Currently, UIGEA prohibits UK bingo online games operators from accessing the US market. Written by John Witherspoon – How about playing bingo online?
