eCOGRA board appoints new director

eCOGRA, the online gaming player protection organization, is reorganizing its board of directors with Chris Hobbs of Microgaming set to join the group. Hobbs joins Founder Member seats at eCOGRA represented by Bwin and 888.com.

Microgaming provides software for many online bingo games operators and online bingo halls in the UK. Much of the online bingo industry support the workof eCOGRA which is working towards establishing industry-wide standards of operation aimed at promoting player protection.

eCOGRA operates its Seals Compliance and Audit Committees, which monitor "Safe and Fair" practices by online gaming operators.
