June 23, 2008

Bingo Street has been amongst the forefront of online bingo industry operators to launch its own Spanish language version aimed at one of Europe’s fastest growing online bingo games markets, and it looks as if this foresight is set to pay off big time.

The provincial licensing system currently in operation in Spain is expected too be replaced by a national system by early 2009, according to a report in Online gaming publication e-Gaming Review.  The report says that such a system was the subject of recent discussions between federal and regional gaming authorities.

A move by Spain towards a national regulated online gambling regime would see bingo online operators amongst the first to take advantage of the opportunities since the Spanish market is a recognized growth market people who play online bingo.

Reports confirm Spanish federal and regional authorities will meet again this fall with the drafting process for a nationally regulated system expected to be wel advanced by this time.
