European bingo industry lobby group EUBINGO has announced changes in the people acting as its key officers with Javier Franch Cardona of the Spanish Association taking over from Sir Peter Fry of the UK Bingo Association to be its president over the next two years. Sir Peter will take on the role of the group’s vice presidency while Italian Italo Marcotti will act as its secretary. EUBINGO is an organization dedicated to representing various European bingo associations before the European Union’s and member-nation’s institutions. The group has been operating since 2006 and includes online bingo issues and bingo online games as part of its scope. The changing of the guard at EUBINGO took place during its recent annual general meeting held in Brussels. At the same meeting the group came to a common agreement regards policy towards online gambling and a code of conduct for responsible gambling. While primarily representative of land bingo interests, the growing role played by the free online bingo industry is becoming a larger component of EUBINGO’s remit.
