Online bingo industry observers will be taking a keen interest in developments in Turkey where it is being reported that progress towards the privatization of the country’s state-owned National Lottery has been made.
The liberalizing of the Turkish online gambling market is seen as a key factor to the country’s aspirations of joining the European Union. Currently, online bingo games operators and online bingo halls are restricted from operating in the Turkey due to state-run monopolies in the gambling industry.
It’s believed the privatization of the National Lottery may take place as soon as August.
