The Town of Mansfield seems to have been the place to be last weekend. Not only did Rebecca Adlington win gold in Beijing in the women’s 400m freestyle swimming, but Mansfield mum Pamela Amber won the £51,544 jackpot at playing online bingo at UK online bingo hall ITV Bingo. Amber told local paper the Nottingham Evening Post: “I was stunned, didn't really move, giggled, looked again and again and then I got off my chair and screamed. “I phoned my husband at work and told him the news and he couldn't believe it.” The prize money will go towards sending her daughter Aimee to university.
