Sun Bingo recently took a giant step away from its original online bingo software provider Tombola, and relaunched on the Gamesys platform. The new Sun Bingo site’s main concern is to ensure that it retains its popularity and its original online bingo players too.
Existing players at Sun Bingo that originally played on the Tombola platform are being directed to re-register so that they can continue to play bingo online at Sun Bingo. The original Sun Bingo site was one of the most popluar online bingo sites in the UK. Another surprising fact is that the Sun Bingo website was actually a better performer financially than most of the newspapers operated within the group.
The move to a new online bingo platform signals a leap of faith for Sun Bingo, in trusting that their loyal members will follow them to the new site. Traditional bingo hall players can be die-hard when it comes to making changes and moving to other clubs, but fortunately this doesn’t apply too stringently in the world of online bingo. Online bingo players are always ready to take on a new challenge, so it will be interesting to see just how many of the members registered with the old Sun Bingo site stay with Tombola or re-register with Sun Bingo.
It is still early days yet to have a complete picture of how things are progressing at the new Sun Bingo online bingo site, but the first few weeks will be critical. Many of the favourite games on the old site have been retained, but some have had to be left behind. Sun Bingo definitely has the online bingo experience to make this move a success.
