Gala Bingo made traditional bingo players in the British town of Scunthorpe very happy last week, with a huge jackpot payout on a networked bingo game shared among all bingo players in the hall. The total jackpot prize for the national bingo game was an amazing £383,800.
The huge bingo prize of £194,188 was won by one lucky bingo lady, Mrs Markham, who scored a full house and finished on the number 5 to scoop the jackpot.
The High 5 Jackpot game was networked and played simultaneously in 157 Gala Bingo halls across the UK, and the remaining national prize money pool of £185,188 was shared among the delighted bingo players in Scunthorpe.
Scunthorpe town centre was yesterday mobbed by 74 extremely happy bingo fans as they collected their winning cheques from Gala Bingo, and celebrated their mutual bingo wins with champagne.
Main prize winner Mrs Markham is reported to be still in shock, "It's mind boggling to have won and it's hit me now that I have the cheque and have seen the figures."
Each of the 73 lucky bingo players in Scunthorpe who played the networked Gala Bingo game last week took home a check yesterday of just over £2500!
