William Hill Bingo have just created their first millionaire of the year, when an extremely shocked Simon from Hampshire won a staggering £1.5 million jackpot on one of the bingo suite's side games, Clover Rollover.
The progressive jackpot on Clover Rollover is just one of the mini games offered on the online bingo website, and this latest payout is believed to be the biggest ever slot payout in UK history.
Simon, who wishes to remain anonymous, made a £1 bet last week on Clover Rollover and went on to spin 5 Lucky Shamrock symbols, giving him a record payout of £1,566,056.97.
The lucky bingo online player says he's still in shock about his record-breaking win. "This amount of money means so much, it's truly life changing. I'm not sure what I'll do with it all yet, just take a few deep breaths and have a think before I make any decisions."
A William Hill Bingo spokesman said, "This is one chap who won't be worrying about the credit crunch when it comes to buying his friends and family Christmas presents!"
