888 Holdings Plc have announced their trading figures for Q3 which show healthy revenues for 888ladies, their online bingo website, and also their online casino offering, but online poker revenue shows no increase from the same period last year.
The 888 Group results for Q3 show a positive general increase in Net Gaming Revenue (NGR) of 23% up to $66 million despite the unhealthy economic environment.
888ladies, 888 Group’s online bingo sector which is among the Emerging Offerings section, showed a 121% increase in NGR to $12 million, and casino NGR also rose by 18% up to $34 million. The group’s online poker revenues showed no growth or decline, remaining at last year’s figures of $19 million.
888 Holdings said that in spite of the traditional slower summer months of July and August, trading was solid with the August’s total operating income showing a 2% increase on the July figures. However the increasingly worsening economic conditions in September, coupled with sharp exchange rate movements resulted in a lower turnover than for August.
The trading results for the first 9 days in November showed a positive spurt, with an increase of approximately 8% more than for October. The two areas said to be primarily responsible for the growth spurt are online bingo and casino. Bingo highlights for the Q3 period are the successful TV Bingo campaign.
