Bingo players at the Beacon Bingo clubs have reason to cheer. The land based bingo halls that were recently refurbished have announced two new jackpot winners. The Beacon Bingo halls are operated by Beacon Entertainments Ltd which is one of the UK’s largest gaming organisations who also own and operate Hippodrome Bingo, Showboat Casino Slots as well as the online bingo website Beacon Bingo.
Beacon Bingo announced that the two bingo players have won jackpots using new state of the art electronic bingo terminals that have recently been installed in the clubs. The first jackpot was won by a bingo player who won over £9,000 on IGT’s Kitty Glitter™ Bingo Terminal at the Northampton Beacon Bingo club.
The second jackpot was won by Mrs. W. who had a spectacular win of £13,330 on Larry’s Lobstermania® Bingo Terminal at the Beacon Bingo club in Cricklewood, North London. Her win is the highest ever on a bingo terminal in the UK.
Mrs. W. who is a regular at the Cricklewood Beacon Bingo hall said that she would be "spending the money on a luxurious holiday to somewhere very hot and finishing her new kitchen in style”.
The electronic bingo terminals are very user friendly and are rapidly gaining popularity in bingo clubs across the UK. Commenting on the jackpot wins, Beacon Bingo chairman Brian Mattingley, said “Cricklewood is the largest bingo club in the UK but all our bingo venues have these bingo terminals, which means everyone has a great chance to win fabulous jackpots.”
With the popularity of online bingo being at an all-time high, land based bingo halls are doing everything they can to bring their customers back to their halls. Bingo clubs are being renovated, electronics machines are being introduced, and innovative bingo promotions are being offered all with a view to increase memberships.
Will news of jackpot wins such as this rope in new players to bingo halls? Or will bingo players be content playing online bingo from the comfort of their homes? Only time will tell.
